    Posted: Jul/10/2015 at 20:16
The "Nektar" 2015 TOUR DATES were originally
based upon the itinerary posted by Cleopatra on facebook plus Royes' official site in early July,
Roye Albrighton, Ron Howden, Klaus Hanetsch & Tom Fry was the 2015 "Nektar" line-up.
THIS PRIMARY POST was then regularly updated to show the changes (venue links, tickets, times, directions & prices etc.) which also confirmed each of the shows (just as I have for previous tours).

THESE were ALL the Nektar tour dates played in 2015...

Most information since the cruise has been found on Roye Albrightons SOLO facebook page.
The Nektar facebook page has long been inactive (since October 15th 2015).
There is NO EXPLANATION for the lack of Nektar NEWS for dedicated fans, so I'm signing off for 2015.
meanwhile, a very Merry Christmas to everyone, hoping for a much different New Year in 2016.

UPDATE, December 28th... NEKTAR was voted #58 of the top 100 Progressive groups of all time
by "Prog magazine", which is a pretty good way to close 2015.

BTW, Comments about anything Nektar (especially this tour) will always be welcomed here....

                                                                                                                                  Thanx, Mick Bee.

20th July
OK, it seems that there IS another band using the Nektar name.
I spoke to Ron this evening and he knows nothing about any Brooklyn gig.
According to Mr.H, the band will be rehearsing in Japan, NOT here... so there you have it!
Ron will be at home on August 10th, but maybe someone should check out that Palisades Club.

The only other update was last  Friday, when they moved the Munich gig to the day prior (Fri Oct 2nd) which leaves the Backnang gig hanging for a reschedule on the 3rd.   I should know soon.

Wed 22nd July update...
It IS another band calling themselves Nektar! They are twenty somethings who play some form of electronica dance muzak, and according to my Brooklyn source, they don't give a sh*t about using our name... they are quoted as saying that "Nektar is from forty years ago, so most of 'em are probably dead anyway".
OK, maybe a cease and desist court order from Cleopatra is needed to straighten out these guys...  as the investments by band, the fans and the recordings we made were also for OUR name NEKTAR....
only written with a "K" because the German spelling was harder than the English soft "C".

Sunday 26th July update...
The Mannheim 7-er club date HAS been verified for over a week and Munich is definitely confirmed for Friday October 2nd, however, as of today, the C-club in Berlin and the Juze Club in Backnang still have NOT verified a Nektar show on their respective websites (it's probably just a facebook thing).

July 31st updates:
As predicted, the Backnang gig (near Stuttgart) WILL be on the Saturday night at the Juze club, as it has now appeared as such on the official site. The Juze official website isn't updated very often, so facebook has it all. Not much else seems to be happening, especially here in the USA.
ALSO, Thursday the 1st of October has now disappeared from the official site listing, so it is either a day OFF for something else (like TV or radio?) or a different Berlin gig will be announced later.
The Berlin C-Club closes tomorrow, re-opening as the Columbia Theater sometime in mid October.
Further (USA) dates have not yet been mentioned.

August 4th surprise: The bogus Nektar band that is playing Brooklyn have changed their name to "Nejtar" so they could play their gig next Monday (10th) without any problems.
Wow... personally, I'd have gone for "Nextar" if it only meant changing one letter to avoid a lawsuit.
Anyhoo... "Nejtar" now have 26 people going, so... yer quite welcome guys... enjoy your new name!!
(Many thanks to John in Brooklyn for all his phone calls and personal contacts).

As of August 16th, there have been no changes, updates or additions to the tour since last month.
Although the official site still shows Mannheim, Munich & Backnang without ticket links, so far, tickets ARE available for every show on this tour.  The 1st of October is still a day OFF.
Their first Japan trip is now foremost for all concerned...  So have lotsa fun in Tokyo guys!

The forum is back, Tokyo went well and the October 10th show in Tel Aviv, Israel was posted while the site was down (I knew I should have posted Israel in August, but I had to wait for confirmation).
Now I'm having problems editing the tour dates page, so please bear with me regarding links and updates (like Kansas City & Israel).
Cheers,
Mick.

THIS poster really hurts...
I hope the boys blow them away in Munich & Backnang!

That's a pretty good review from Billboard and good to see some coverage, look forward to the show at The Borderline in London on October 7th.

So far, not much news regarding the German leg of the tour, even on facebook,
those that attended and posted comments have very nice things to say too.... in German of course.
I'm still having trouble editing info on the main concert calendar (thus no new links yet).
There have been no further updates since I got back from the Schuylkill festival with the Ozrics over the weekend anyway,
so I hope it's no biggie for those few people who DO visit (& post) here...  for now.

Hello from Germany
I've been at the gig in Lübeck, Northern Germany on September 27. A rather small location with about a hundred fans, obviously of the old aera. But also some girls in their early twentieth could be detected.
Nektar presented a (I dare say) fantastic set of old and new music. If there's any interest I can add the setlist. Roye, Ron, Klaus and Tom Fry were in an excellent mood and played exactly two hours without a pause. There was much adoration from the audience although it could have been a little less loud.
There's still a spread but broad community of Nektar fans in Germany. With a twinkle in the eye here we call Nektar the most british German band.
