When the news broke out that the original line–up of Nektar would be performing at the Patriots Theatre in Trenton, New Jersey for NearFest 2002, tickets for the event sold out in just 45 minutes. This historical concert was the first time the complete original band played together in 26 years. Nektar blew the roof off the place with standing ovations throughout the show.

Adding to this unique event and made Especially for this show, visual effects designer Mick Brockett recreated the 1970's original liquid light show which made Nektar famous for their must see live shows. Concert footage, rare archive material, backstage film, interviews and documentary film are combined to produce a magnificent portrait of an emotional return by one of the true legends of rock on the Dvd.

Nektar's double–disc GREATEST HITS LIVE CD & DVD captures the band in concert when Nektar was joined on stage by keyboard wizard Larry Fast for a set featuring classic Nektar at their finest at the sold out Patriot Theatre at the NearFest (North East Art Rock Festival) in New Jersey in 2002. Performance highlights include: "Remember The Future" played in its entirety for the first time ever, "Nelly The Elephant", "Now", and "Man In The Moon".

The DVD is a stunning film of the magical evening recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1. providing a very interesting and sharp separation for a live show. The vocals come primarily from the front, the audience from the back, the instruments are all around you, with certain parts distinctly up front. The keyboards, drum, and guitar partsgreatest were distinctly mixed in the rear channels providing counterpoints and punctuation to the whole mix giving the listener the feeling of actually being in the hall. The sound quality is quite good.

A second dvd was to be made that combined the NearFest show and the "The Classic Rock Festival " also held at the War Memorial - Patriots Theater, Trenton New Jersey USA on October 06, 2002. The Remember The Future DVD never materialized. The highlights from this DVD would have been: "Remember The Future" played in its entirety, "Astral Man", and "Good Day".
